A young graduate from Ecole Camondo in Paris, Joy de L'Hermite shares the sources of inspiration for this new collection - Oscar, which marks her first collaboration with BERNARDAUD:
During my stay in Brazil, photography quickly became an important part of my life. I began applying a method to my photos with a square frame, which gradually gave life to a body of images... My goal with the Oscar range was to relate the multiple universes of this country. Thus, the graphic frames echo the rhythms of Oscar Niemeyer's iconic contemporary architecture (a Brazilian architect considered a pioneer of modern Brazilian architecture), and the colors reflect those of the city. Ultimately, Oscar is a research work between form, color, and material to transcribe the vitality so characteristic of a country that has fascinated me.
