Glass carafe, Andalusia by Mario Trimarchi - ICHENDORF
Mario Trimarchi is deeply passionate about drawing. He designs to understand the poetic soul of objects. The artist has worked for the Olivetti Design Studio, led the Master's in Design at Domus Academy, and then founded FRAGILE, a corporate identity studio. The designer won the Compasso d'Oro with the Ossidiana coffee maker for Alessi. Mario Trimarchi is an iconic figure in contemporary design, a creator who blends aesthetic functionality and poetry, influencing both the world of product design and visual identity.
Created from the collaboration between Mario Trimarchi and Ichendorf, the Andalusia collection is inspired by the Andalusia region in southern Spain, capturing the essence and warmth of this picturesque location through subtle color transitions and simple yet elegant design. Each piece in this collection is an artistic expression, transforming any table into a novel and unique experience.
The Andalusia carafe is suitable for serving water, wine, lemonade, or various other types of beverages in a unique style. It perfectly complements a cheerful atmosphere with friends.
The Andalusia glass pieces add a surprising touch to every table. They are handcrafted from borosilicate glass - the transparency and lightness of this material confer elegance.
Thanks to special craftsmanship, Ichendorf pieces withstand temperature fluctuations and have a low expansion coefficient, ensuring longevity and durability.
Hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended (do not use a steel sponge).
For dishwasher cleaning, low temperatures are recommended (max. 104°F).
Ichendorf
Today, just as 100 years ago, the goal of Ichendorf is the pursuit of beauty with authentic forms.
The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne, called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glassmakers used a mixture of substances to shape objects capable of meeting the refined tastes of that period. The endless search for new, popular, and exclusive appearances leads to the creation of objects with modern design. In 1990, the Ichendorf style center was established in Milan, a creative convergence point for artists and designers.
The materials used range from ceramics, introduced in 2019, to traditional glass, crystal, and borosilicate glass. The new collections are created by combining tradition and innovation and feature objects that enter homes with delicacy, elegance, and brilliance, finding a very fitting place in every space.
