The Fragrance

MAX BENJAMIN uses essential oils of the highest quality, mostly natural. Natural oils are extracted from raw materials (e.g., natural lavender from Provence lavender). The glycerin-based, alcohol-free formula ensures a slower release — lasting up to four times longer than alcohol-based diffusers.

Manufacturing Process

The scented oils are hand-mixed with the glycerin base and left to settle. When ready, master artisans manually pour each blend into elegantly designed bottles.

The Reeds

The reeds are made from cotton fiber, diffusing fragrance from both the lateral surface and the top. Unlike rattan reeds, they do not dry out quickly and do not need to be flipped.

Usage

It is recommended to use all the reeds for maximum diffusion. Fragrance intensity can be adjusted by removing one or more reeds.

Instructions for Use

1. Unscrew the decorative collar and remove the stopper.
2. Screw the collar back on and insert the reeds into the bottle.
3. The oil will slowly rise through the reeds and diffuse the fragrance. Full diffusion begins in ~24 hours and lasts up to 2.5 months.

Do not set reeds on fire.

Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Clean spills immediately to avoid staining furniture.

MAX BENJAMIN is a family-owned company led by siblings Orla, Mark, and David Van den Bergh from Enniskerry, County Wicklow. Named after Orla’s twins, Max and Ben, the brand started in the 1990s crafting natural, handmade candles.

Their fragrance collections are globally celebrated for their modern design, craftsmanship, and commitment to natural ingredients.

Founder ORLA VAN DEN BERGH learned the art of candle making in the U.S., where she discovered the complexity of blending waxes and essential oils.
