The Amazonia Collection is the result of a collaboration between Bordallo Pinheiro and the Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia, dedicated to preserving one of the world’s most vital ecological, cultural, social, and scientific heritages: the Amazon rainforest. Each piece draws inspiration from the rich local flora, brought to life through a deep exchange of knowledge with those living at the heart of this vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, traditions, colors, sounds, and scents.
A portion of the proceeds from the collection supports reforestation efforts in the Mato Grosso region of the Amazon, through the planting of indigenous fruit trees in cities, rural communities, and indigenous villages where Ecoarts Amazônia operates.
The Amazonia Collection has been recognized internationally, winning the European Product Design Award – Silver, the Good Design Award, and the German Design Award 2020.
