Grapefruit Shores
The Grapefruit Shores fragrance is inspired by breakfast served under the sun in Kamala Bay and the fresh citrus fruits of Surin Beach. A unique blend of subtropical scents with infusions of grapefruit, pomelo oils, and orange blossom.

Max Benjamin scented candles create the perfect ambiance. Made from a blend of multiple types of natural wax and Italian cotton wicks, the candles are fragranced using the finest essential oils. The ideal combination of scents for any room and mood.

The Wick
The braided wick is made from 100% Italian cotton. It contains no lead, ensuring a clean burn with no black smoke.
The candle wick is applied by hand inside each container. It is passed through the metal base, perfectly centered to optimize wax burning.

The Wax
100% natural soy wax – NO PARAFFIN.
The wax blend used to create Max Benjamin candles comes from 100% natural sources. It is a mix of soy wax and other versions of reusable, plant-based wax. It contains no paraffin, is biodegradable, and eco-friendly.

The wax used in Max Benjamin candles burns slowly and, unlike paraffin wax, burns cleanly without producing soot. It contains no animal-derived substances.
Since the wax is a product based on plant and natural substances, the released fragrance and texture may vary; this is completely normal.

The wax is mixed with fragrance (essential oils) at a certain temperature to create a homogeneous liquid, ensuring an even release of scent over time. The candle should not be burned for more than 2-3 hours at a time – the liquid wax will continue to release fragrance even after the flame is extinguished.

Manufacturing Process
The first step: about 75% of the container’s capacity is poured, then the candle is left to cool and any empty spaces or air bubbles are smoothed out by hand.
Then, about 1 cm more wax is poured on top, and the candle is again left to cool before being packaged.

About the Brand

Max Benjamin is owned by siblings Orla, Mark, and David Van den Bergh from Enniskerry, County Wicklow. Named after Orla’s twins, Max and Ben, the company began producing natural, handmade candles back in the ’90s.

Max Benjamin’s unique fragrance collections are appreciated worldwide for their contemporary design, craftsmanship, and use of natural ingredients. Today, the Van den Bergh family continues to take people on a journey of exploration and expression through fragrances.

Orla Van den Bergh, the company’s founder, learned how to make candles in America, where she discovered the complexity of creating high-quality candles. The skill of blending various types of wax and essential oils came naturally to Orla, and she continues to use this talent today.

Upon returning to Ireland, Orla brought back the secrets she discovered, using them to produce refined candles that became more popular than she could have ever imagined. And so began the story of Max Benjamin.

Max Benjamin candles are not toys. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
For an even burn, the candle should be burned until the liquid wax reaches the edges of the container.
Do not touch the glass when the candle is lit. For an even burn, burn the candle until the melted wax reaches the edge of the glass. Do not burn the candle for more than 2-3 hours.
Never leave the candle unattended.
Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from any flammable materials.
Do not move the candle while it is burning.
