Soup plate, Amazonia - VISTA ALEGRE
Inspired by the book Viagens Philosophicas (Philosophical Journeys) by naturalist Alexandre Rodrigues Ferreira, as well as the fauna, flora, and people of the Amazon, this collection was developed in partnership with Ecoarts Amazonia, bringing together for the first time all the brands of the group: VISTA ALEGRE, Casa Alegre, and Bordallo Pinheiro.
Featuring a diversity of over 70 pieces made from porcelain, glass, and crystal, a portion of the proceeds from this collection will be redirected towards reforesting the Mato Grosso area of the Amazon. This will be achieved by planting fruit trees that will contribute to the conservation of an essential ecological, cultural, social, and scientific heritage for the future of humanity.
The Amazonia collection was the winner of the European Product Design Award - Silver prize, the Good Design Award, and the German Design Award 2020.
