Tea cup and saucer, acorns and snail, Fruits and Flower by Alessandra Baldereschi - ICHENDORF

Milanese Alessandra Baldereschi studied industrial design at the Domus Academy. The artist collaborates with various brands that implement design for lighting, decor, and furniture. Among her famous exhibitions are: Triennale di Milano, Biennale Saint Etienne, Inside Design Amsterdam, Seoul Design Festival, and Moss Gallery, New York.

Created from the collaboration between Alessandra Baldereschi and Ichendorf, the Fruits and Flower collection is inspired by elements of nature. It is characterized by small figurines - birds, fruits, or flowers like butterflies, snails, squirrels, blackberries, strawberries, acorns, all handcrafted from colored glass and placed inside or on the handles of the pieces.

The tea cup and saucer are made of transparent glass. They are suitable for breakfast or to add charm to gatherings with friends. The cup features a decorative handle with two acorns, and the saucer carries a charming snail.

The glass pieces from the Fruits and Flower collection offer a surprising touch to every meal. They are handcrafted from borosilicate glass - the transparency and lightness of this material confer elegance.

Thanks to special craftsmanship, Ichendorf pieces withstand temperature fluctuations and have a low expansion coefficient, ensuring longevity and durability.
Hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended (do not use a steel sponge). For manual washing and drying, proper handling of the cups by holding them by the bowl is necessary.
For cleaning in the dishwasher, low temperatures are recommended (max. 40°).

Ichendorf

Today, just as 100 years ago, Ichendorf's goal is the pursuit of beauty with authentic forms.

The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne, called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glassmakers used a mixture of substances to shape objects capable of meeting the refined tastes of that era. The endless quest for new, popular, and exclusive appearances leads to the creation of objects with modern design. In 1990, the Ichendorf style center was established in Milan, a creative convergence point for artists and designers.

The materials used range from ceramics, introduced in 2019, to traditional glass, crystal, and borosilicate glass. The new collections are created by combining tradition and innovation, featuring objects that enter homes with delicacy, elegance, and brilliance, finding a very fitting place in every space.
