Alessandra Baldereschi, a Milanese designer, studied industrial design at the Domus Academy. The artist collaborates with various brands that implement design for lighting, decor, and furniture. Among her renowned exhibitions are: Triennale di Milano, Biennale Saint Etienne, Inside Design Amsterdam, Seoul Design Festival, and Moss Gallery, New York.
Created through the collaboration between Alessandra Baldereschi and Ichendorf, the collection Woodland Tales is inspired by the beauty of the forest. It features small colored glass animals, placed inside or on the surface of the objects, with whimsical shapes, accessorized with other elements that characterize the natural world. Each piece in the Woodland Tales collection is unique and perfect for bringing joy to the table on every occasion.
The collection Woodland Tales represents a unique series of hand-blown glass cups, inspired by the beauty and delicacy of nature, with a subtle charm and specific Christmas accents. Each cup tells its own story, featuring fine details that evoke natural elements. Today, just as it was 100 years ago, Ichendorf's mission is the pursuit of beauty through authentic forms.
The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glassmakers used a blend of materials to shape objects that catered to the refined tastes of that era. The endless quest for new, popular, and exclusive designs leads to the creation of modern design objects. In 1990, the Ichendorf style center was established in Milan, becoming a creative convergence point for artists and designers.
The materials used range from ceramics, introduced in 2019, to traditional glass, crystal, and borosilicate glass. The new collections are crafted by blending tradition and innovation, presenting objects that enter homes with delicacy, elegance, and brilliance, finding a perfect place in every space.
