Water glass, 5.5 inches, Travasi by Astrid Luglio - ICHENDORF

Astrid Luglio is a product designer from Milan, renowned for her innovative approach that blends functionality with storytelling. Specializing in objects for culinary arts, tableware, and table settings, she explores how design can transform gastronomic experiences into a form of artistic expression.

Through her creations, Astrid Luglio reinterprets ancient rituals and traditions, bringing them into a contemporary context. Each object becomes a bridge between the past and present, offering sensory experiences meant to celebrate the art of conviviality. Her vision combines imagination with functionality, resulting in pieces that are not only aesthetic but also deeply culturally significant.

Created through the collaboration between Astrid Luglio and Ichendorf, the collectionTravasiredefines elegance through contemporary and bold design. The featured glass is made from borosilicate glass, a material known for its thermal resistance and exceptional durability.

This model impresses with a combination of contrasting colors: a petrol cylindrical body with a silky finish and a conical stem in a delicate lilac pink shade, creating a spectacular visual effect. Its asymmetrical design adds a sophisticated and modern touch, making it ideal for serving refined beverages as well as a decorative piece in any elegant setting.

Thanks to the borosilicate glass, this glass is resistant to high temperatures, making it suitable for both cold and hot drinks. The ergonomic shape and perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality make this glass an ideal choice for those who appreciate exclusive design objects.

Hand washing with a soft sponge is recommended.
For dishwasher cleaning, low temperatures (max. 104°F) are recommended.

ICHENDORF

Today, just as 100 years ago, Ichendorf's goal is the pursuit of beauty with authentic forms.

The history of Ichendorf began in the early years of the 20th century in a small town near Cologne, called Quadrath-Ichendorf. There, many master glassmakers used a mixture of substances to shape objects capable of meeting the refined tastes of that era. The endless search for new, popular, and exclusive appearances leads to the creation of objects with modern design. In 1990, the Ichendorf style center was established in Milan, a creative convergence point for artists and designers.

The materials used range from ceramics, introduced in 2019, to traditional glass, crystal, and borosilicate glass. The new collections are created by blending tradition and innovation, presenting objects that enter homes with delicacy, elegance, and brilliance, finding a very fitting place in every space.
